More black stocking masked robbers, this time from the very first episode of The Gentle Touch. This was an ITV police drama first broadcast in 1980. The men behind the nylon are Stephen Yardley and Brian Croucher who would go on to be very familair TV faces in the 80s and 90s.

A few posts for Easter dedicated to black stocking masks. Here's a few pics from a 1974 film originally called Ransom which then became The Terrorists. It's one of the first times I saw black stocking masks en masse. During the 70s it was always the tan stocking favoured by baddies so this was definitely a break from the tradition. Black has been my favourite kind ever since.
